Right now were in Leon. We are really liking it here. Everything you see about Nicaragua seems to be negitive, but all we´ve seen has been good. These people here are living a very tangible history. It makes you think. We met a man who was an FSLN (Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional or Sandinista National Liberation Front) fighter. By the time he was 30 years old he had fought in a revoultion, had been shot twice in countless battles, had wittnessed too many regime changes to count, and still had never been to school.
We went to the beach today. I went surfing and caught a nice left, then had fish for dinner. Today I am 28 years old, and I feel good about that.
